Ulf. J. Johansson

Chairman of the board

Ulf J. Johansson was born on 21 August 1945 and is a Swedish national. He received a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Doctor of Technology (Communication Theory) from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. In 1990, he founded Europolitan Holdings AB, a Swedish GSM mobile telephone operator, which was publicly listed from 1994 to 2003. He resigned as Chairman of the Board of Europolitan Vodafone AB in 2005.

Dr Johansson was a member of the Board of Directors of Novo Nordisk A/S from 1998 to 2005. In 2000, he joined the Board of Novo A/S of which he has been Chairman since 2005. In 2005, he was also appointed Chairman of the Board of the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

In 2005, Dr Johansson became a member of the Board of TelefonAB LM Ericsson. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Acando AB, Eurostep Group AB and Trimble Navigation Ltd. He served as Chairman of the Board of the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm from 1998 to 2003, and has been a member of the Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences since 1990.
