A significant evergreen fund and a unique approach to investing

Novo Growth Equity is structured as an open evergreen fund with the Novo Nordisk Foundation as the sole investor. This unique funding structure allows Novo A/S to take a long-term perspective with its investments and allows Novo A/S to avoid some of the restrictions associated with many traditional funds.

Novo A/S is committing up to USD 300 million annually to its investments in seed, venture and growth equity life science companies. At this level, the company’s investment pace is comparable to a traditional fund in excess of USD 1 billion. Of this, nearly two-thirds is directed to growth equity investments.
