LifeCycle Pharma announces Shionogi Pharma terminates Fenoglide® North American commercialization agreement

LifeCycle Pharma A/S (OMX:LCP) today announced that Shionogi Pharma, Inc. has terminated its North American license agreement for Fenoglide®. The termination is effective February 23, 2011 or sooner if requested by LCP. Fenoglide® is LCP's patented formulation of fenofibrate using its proprietary MeltDose® technology. The product is approved for sale in the U.S. and is indicated as a treatment for hyperlipidemia and mixed dyslipidemia. LCP partnered with Sciele, Inc. on Fenoglide® in 2007. Sciele was subsequently acquired by Shionogi in 2009.
